Safer Internet Day 2020 will be celebrated in the UK on Tuesday 11th February, focusing on the theme of:
The aim of Safer Internet Day is to inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.
Here at St Anthony's we will follow the advice from the Safer Internet Centre. We want to empower our pupils to explore identity online and open up discussions about how the internet shapes the way that they think of themselves and others. During Safer Internet Day we will focus on what creates our identity online – such as the things we share with each other, how others perceive us and interact with us, as well as how online services use the information we share to identify and profile us. Children will explore different scenarios young people of this age may face online and examine how to represent their identity online in a safe and positive way.
