World War II Day in Primary 4 was a huge success.  Check out the pictures of our war-themed activities!

This week, the children visited the Belfast War Memorial Museum to explore what life was like for Belfast children during the Second World War. Throughout the visit, pupils had the chance to handle real wartime artefacts, try on period clothing, and study photographs and images showing the impact of the Belfast Blitz.

The children then took part in a research trail around the museum, using the exhibits to answer questions and deepen their understanding of life on the Home Front. To finish the day, everyone had great fun trying on uniforms and discussing the challenges—and surprising positives—brought about by rationing during the war.

It was a highly engaging and memorable visit, and the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
