Good attendance and punctuality are essential for teaching and learning to take place. Children who are constantly late not only deprive themselves, but hinder the progress of others.
Parents are asked to ensure their children are in class in good time to start lessons. If your child is going to be off for one or two days with a minor illness there is no need to ring the school office.
We would ask parents not to book holidays during school term time. While only a small number do this, it has been growing slightly in recent years.
Please note that the school is obliged to refer children with poor attendance to the Education Welfare Office.
