Curriculum

St. Anthony's offers a comprehensive and well-rounded curriculum designed for all students, irrespective of their age or skill levels. Educators collaborate closely, adhering to the standards established by the Northern Ireland curriculum, to guarantee that our students experience a diverse educational program.

Additionally, they ensure that the curriculum is tailored to meet the varying abilities present in each classroom.

Every classroom is furnished with tablets, Chromebooks, and a diverse array of digital devices to guarantee that our students can explore and expand their knowledge base. By incorporating specific applications, we strive to offer students the chance to enhance their understanding of the curriculum topics they are presently studying in class.

In addition to the fundamental subjects of Literacy, Numeracy, and the World Around Us, students are afforded the chance to engage in various creative disciplines, including Art, Music, and Physical Education.

We strictly follow the directives established in the Northern Ireland Curriculum concerning physical activity, ensuring that children receive numerous opportunities for exercise.

The mental health and well-being of our students hold significant importance, and the objectives of the PDMU curriculum are addressed through the PATHS program, which is implemented consistently across the entire school.

At the commencement of each academic year, parents are invited to curriculum meetings, during which teachers outline the content to be addressed in each subject area and provide guidance on how parents can assist their children throughout the year.
