The Sentinus CodeCreators Key Stage 1 workshop, using LEGO Essential Kits, gave pupils the opportunity to follow simple coding instructions to bring their LEGO models to life. Through hands‑on activities, pupils learned how basic coding commands can control movement and actions.
The workshop encouraged computational thinking, creativity, and teamwork, while making coding fun, practical, and interactive. Pupils particularly enjoyed seeing their own ideas transform into moving models that they had built and programmed themselves, building confidence and excitement around early STEM learning.
In UICT, the children have been exploring Film and Animation. Working in small groups, they created their own storyboards by illustrating four key moments from the traditional tale Hansel and Gretel. Each child then selected one of these scenes to bring to life using Just2Easy Animate, producing a short animated clip of their chosen moment. We are looking forward to watching all the scenes together to create our very own class animation of Hansel and Gretel.
