War-time games

World War II Day: Traditional Games

During our World War II Day, Primary 4 had the opportunity to play some traditional games that children would have enjoyed during this time. Pupils learned the rules of each game and worked together to play them fairly and respectfully.

By taking part in these activities, the children were able to experience first‑hand how children entertained themselves in the past, often using simple equipment and lots of imagination. This helped them to better understand daily life for children during World War II and compare it to their own lives today.

The pupils had great fun while developing teamwork, listening skills, and an appreciation of history through play.
